Ephemera Festival

As every year, the Ephemera Festival will celebrate music, performance, visual arts, theatre, collective rituals and the longest summer days.

2025’s Ephemera’s opening night takes place in the main foyer of Teatr Wielki, decorated with set designs from the theatre’s past opera productions. Embracing the atmosphere of dusk on one of the year’s longest days are Danish sound artist Sofie Birch and Polish singer Antonina Nowacka, for the first time presenting music from their new upcoming album Hiraeth, recorded in the hills of Sokołowsko.

Ephemera returns to the former schoolyard at Komuna Warszawa, in the centre of the city. Hailing from Villa Tesei in Buenos Aires, rising star Six Sex is the Queen of Perreo Rave. She brings together elements of reggaeton, dance hall, high-energy club and eurotrance in a boundary pushing and very sexy show.

Opening the evening is the next step in a collaboration between Swiss percussionist Julian Sartorius and Polish saxophonist Marek Pospieszalski, this time expanded by Polish guitarist and experimentalist Artur Rumiński.
