~ dedicated to these temporary zones, fugitive interstices, where we engage to form and re-form moments of collective trance ~ ~sòn du maquís (former maquis son sistèm) is a live show and label started by stefan dubs in 2018, playing a wide repertoire of sound system oriented productions, tangling together downtempo, halftime drum and bass, goblin tribe rythms and more dubby influences all weaved together by the live versioning using the mixing table as a narrative instrument. playing in front of the sound system, in the middle of the audience, the performance creates a synergic effect of collective transe, the ever growing hypnosis of the progressive patterns is electrised by the addition of psychedelic sound effects, dub siren and stacking basslines the ~sòn du maquís live emerged from the french micro & self-organised festival scene : illusio, guyenne, gofildren, lyl summer camp and more.. he’s since also played its druidesque rituals in more known gatherings like les siestes électroniques, la nature festival, woodblocks kiosk festival.
